packaging materials
Why did you choose aluminium for most of your packaging?
Aluminium is one of the most frequently recycled materials globally. It can be reprocessed infinitely without reduction in quality; and post-consumer recycled (PCR) aluminium has a significantly lower environmental impact than virgin aluminium. Our containers are manufactured from 100 per cent PCR aluminium.
Further, the lightness of the containers means they lessen the environmental impacts of shipping (that is, comparative to heavier materials); and their opaqueness contributes to longevity by protecting the contents from light.
refills, reuse and recycling
What refills do you offer?
Product refills for all To My Ships products other than our Eau de Parfum are available for purchase on our website, allowing you to reuse your original containers and minimise landfill.
You might also like to use empty containers for other purposes, or to recycle them in accordance with the facilities available in your area.
Do you plan to introduce Eau de Parfum refills?
We would like to do so eventually, and have designed packaging with this in mind; should Eau de Parfum refills became available, we will notify customers through our communications. Please subscribe if you would like to remain updated.
Can I purchase a refill and use it to fill a spray or roll-on container that I already have at home?
Although it may seem an economical practice, we strongly encourage you to decant To My Ships' refill contents only into our containers. Having tested their inner surfaces extensively, we can assure you that they're fully compatible with our formulas.
This may not be the case with other containers, and some chemical reactions between their material and our contents might cause irritation to your skin or degradation of your To My Ships products.
